Evelyn L. Pheanis, 98, of Camden, OH, passed away Saturday afternoon, December 21, 2019 at the Vancrest Healthcare Center in Eaton. Born February 23, 1921 in Franklin, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Fannie (Rose) Rickard. A member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Camden, Evelyn had worked for many years assembling cash registers at NCR in Dayton. She left NCR to be with husband Jim, who was serving with the US Navy in Jacksonville, FL. Together they had 4 beautiful children and became a stay at home wife and mother. Evelyn is preceded in death on October 4, 2010 by beloved husband James A. Pheanis, whom she married October 4, 1946; sons James D. Pheanis in 2018 and Stephen W. Pheanis in 2017; 3 sisters and 1 brother; and daughter-in-law Stella Pheanis in 2019. She is survived by daughter Cynthia L. Parks and husband Randy of Eaton; son Gary G. Pheanis of Eldorado; daughters-in-law Lori Pheanis of Lewisburg and Jeannie Pheanis of Camden; grandchildren Takisha M. Parks, Allison Druckenmiller and husband Steve, Tyler Pheanis and wife Valerie, Derek W. Pheanis and fiancé Mariah; and 5 great grandchildren. A private graveside service and burial were held on Friday, December 27, 2019 at Fairmount Cemetery, Camden, with Pastor Greg Jackson presiding. Arrangements entrusted to the Robert L.
