Evelyn R. Leas

Evelyn R. Leas, 94 of Eaton, OH, passed away peacefully on Monday morning, June 16, 2014. Born in Lima, OH, she was a daughter of the late Parmerlee & Grace (Himes) Rice. Miss Evelyn retired in 1982 after 27 years with the Inland Division of General Motors in Dayton. A member of the National Humane Society and the Art Association of Preble County, Evelyn enjoyed oil painting and gave many of her paintings to family and friends. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband Bayman Mittlestadter in 1960; husband Robert Leas in 2003: daughter Susan Zarecky in 1999: and 6 brothers and sisters. Survived by son David Middelstetter of Kettering: daughter Deborah Norman of Eaton: step son James Leas of TX: 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Friends may call on the family from 1:00 - 2:00 pm Sunday, June 22, 2014 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria, OH.
