Earl L. Tipton

Age 90, of Eaton, Ohio, passed peacefully with his family by his side on Sunday, February 5, 2023. He was born in Lakin, Kansas, to the late Vernon Edward and Ethel L. (Willis) Tipton on January 1st, 1933. Earl is preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of 59 years, Edith Lou (Kegley) Tipton; daughter, Karen Sue (Tipton) Duncan; and grandson, Luke R. Kuck. He is survived by his children, Wanda Tipton Kuck of Dayton, Ohio, Scott (Ronda) Tipton of Somerset, Kentucky; 14 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; dear friend and caregiver, Geanine; several extended family members and friends who loved him. Earl was a proud Veteran of the United States Army. He served from 1953-1955. He was awarded a National Defense Service Metal and a Good Conduct metal during his time of service. He was a talented wood worker and an intelligent mechanic. Earl was a faithful Christian man who loved Jesus Christ and the Living Word Church. He was even able to use his talents as a wood worker to participate in building the first location of the Living Word Church in Vandalia, Ohio. Earl was a family-oriented man that enjoyed spending time with his family, cooking, and was known by them for his pancakes and eggs for breakfast. A visitation will be held at Preble Memory Gardens Funeral Center (3377 US Rt 35 East, West Alexandria, Ohio, 45381) on February 13th, 2023, from 11AM to 12PM with the service to start promptly at 12PM with Dr. Pat Murray officiating.
