Earl Howard Stewart, Sr. age 83 of Eaton, Ohio passed away peacefully Wednesday morning March 2, 2016 at the Dayton VA medical center; Hospice Unit. Born in Clay County, Kentucky on September 30, 1932 he was a son to the late Clarence & Bernice (Hacker) Stewart. Earl was a veteran and served in the Korean War for the United States Army, and was a member of the American Legion Post #215; as well as a member of the Masonic Temple. He was a "jack-of- all- trades" and retired from Emerson Electric. Earl was a family man, and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a collector of all things; loved cars, and whenever he was in Kentucky, he felt "home". He will be truly missed. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by brothers David Stewart and Bonnell Stewart. Survived by his wife of 57 years, Irene (Arnett) Stewart whom he married June 28, 1958: children Howard Stewart of Eaton and Lisa (Stewart) & Dennis Terry of Dayton, OH: grandchildren Stephen & Jennie Stewart of North Canton, OH; Alicia (Fidler) & James Quinn of Eaton; Stephanie (Terry) & Dave Baker of Morrow, OH: great-grandchildren Audrey and Nora Stewart; Arlo Quinn; Emily and Megan Baker: brother Lowell Stewart of Hamilton, OH. Friends may call on the family from 1:00-3:00 PM Sunday March 6,2016 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center - 3377 US RT 35 E, West Alexandria, OH - Service to follow at 3:00 PM.
