Earl G. Crouch Sr.

Earl G. Crouch Sr., age 91 of New Lebanon, OH passed peacefully with his family by his side on Monday, Jan. 30, 2023.

He was born to the late Denton Crouch and Edith (Greer) Dalton in Burrville, TN on November 19, 1931 and had 19 brothers and sisters.

Earl is preceded in death by his wife, Zella Crouch; step-son, Roy Reed; grandson, Zachary Crouch; brothers, Harold Crouch, Freddie Young, Travis Young, Paul Crouch, and Jackie Crouch; sisters, Eva Jo Morgan, Ruth Carol Yoakum, Emma Lou Crouch, and Mary Jones.

He is survived by sons, Rick (Andi) Crouch and Earl (Pegie) Crouch; daughter, Gayle (OB) Skidmore; step-son, Ken Reed; step-daughter, Karen (Tom) Kaup; brothers, Steve Dalton, Johnny Crouch, Sammy Crouch, Jimmy Crouch; sisters, Sharon Tamayo, Estelene Hamby, Judy Hamby, Betty Smith, Martha LaRue, and Ollie Kay Dagley; and too numerous to mention grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Earl was an avid drag racer who spent all his summers at Kil-Kare Raceway.  He was a proud member of the Kil-Kare 2013 Hall of Fame and he was 86 when he took his last trip down the drag strip. His proudest moment in racing was earning the pro category points championship in 1986. He loved his cars and spending time with his family. He will truly be missed by his loving family and friends.

A Visitation will be held at Preble Memory Gardens Funeral Center on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2023 from 11:00AM~1:00PM, until time of Funeral Service beginning promptly at 1:00PM, with Pastor Mike Tuttle officiating. Burial will follow afterwards at Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery.

In honor of Earl, please feel free to wear jeans, T-shirt, and a flannel shirt to the viewing/services.  A meal will be served after the services at the community center located at the funeral home.
