Douglas K. Rauch

Douglas K. Rauch, 71, of Eaton, OH, passed away Tuesday morning, July 31, 2018 at his residence. Born August 9, 1946, he was a son of the late Herbert Ray and Lois Marie (Toms) Rauch. Doug proudly served with the US Army from May of 1966 - May of 1968. For the last 17 years, Doug had worked as the office manager and bookkeeper for both Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery and the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center of West Alexandria. He met the love of his life on Thanksgiving night, 1977. On February 3, 1978, he and Vicki Jean (Clifton) married. Vickie died on August 1, 2003. He is also preceded in death by son Michael B. Kiser on August 24, 2003. Survived by daughters Donetta J. Rohr and husband David of Georgetown, KY and Gena L. Osswald and husband Eric of Brookville, OH; grandchildren Emily, Stephanie, Evan and Seth Kiser, Mason and Kelly Rohr, and Megan and Kenton Osswald; 3 great grandchildren; sister Donna Ford and husband Ken of Hilliard, OH. Friends may call on the family from 1:00 - 2:00 PM Sunday, August 5, 2018 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria. A service to remember and honor Doug's life will follow at 2:00 PM. Following the service, a brief closing ceremony will be held at the mausoleum at Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery, before Doug is entombed beside his beloved Vickie.
