Dorothy Walters

Age 73, of West Alexandria, OH passed away peacefully to be with the Lord on Friday, March 11, 2022 in Dayton, OH. She was born to George and Dorothy (Lipscomb) Sizemore on January 17, 1949 in Dayton, OH.

Dorothy was one of the best cooks and enjoyed making a “Country Breakfast” for her family and friends. She loved fishing, particularly for bluegill, and would fry them up for her loved ones to eat. Bird watching was a fun pastime for Dorothy and she had her yard decorated with bird feeders, bird baths and hummingbird feeders just so the birds would visit. Jigsaw, Crossword and Sudukos were among her favorite puzzles to solve and playing card and dice games with her family, especially Joyce, Charlotte and the grandkids, made for laughs all around. She will be truly missed by those she loved.

Dorothy is survived by her sons; Preston (Faye) Sizemore and Billy (Victoria) Walters, grandchildren; Kyle and Kelly Sizemore, Leaf and Emmit Walters, Stepgrandchildren; Ashley Parmer and Ryan Kirby, sister in laws; Charlotte Sizemore and Joyce Sizemore , and all her special friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and her siblings; Larry, Georgia Rae and Jack.

A visitation for Dorothy will be held at PREBLE MEMORY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME on Saturday, March 19, 2022 from 11:00AM until 1:00PM, a funeral service at 1:00PM with Dustin Vorhis officiating will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Preble Memory Gardens to assist the family with final expenses.
