Dorothy Tackett

Dorothy M. Tackett, age 86, of Camden, OH, passed away peacefully early Sunday morning, November 7, 2010. Born October 29, 1924 in Sommerville, OH, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin R. & Susan A. (Reece) Mee. She attended Sommerville School from 1930 - 1938 and McGuffy High School from 1938 - 1941. Dorothy was raised Pentecostal and remained true to her Christian faith throughout her life. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death on July 11, 1999 by husband Boyd Tackett, whom she married September 6, 1941; and half brother Paul Mee. Survived by sons Jerry B. Tackett of Missouri; Donald G. Tackett of Camden; Michael P. Tackett of Eaton, OH; and Richard L. Tackett of Eaton: daughters Anita Susan Walker of Indianapolis, IN; Nancy Louise Miller of Eaton; Marjory Alice Davenport of Avon Lake, OH; and Christina Mae Tackett of Camden: 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren: and numerous cousins. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria, OH. Pastor Michael Gadd presiding.
