Dorothy Hodapp

Dorothy M. Hodapp, age 87, of Eaton, OH, passed away Friday afternoon, June 29, 2012 following an extended illness. Born in Covington, KY, she was a daughter of the late Casper & Loretta (Scheper) Schaffer. She retired as the Bar Manager for a local DAV Post in FL, and was a member of the Auxiliary of American Legion, VFW and DAV Posts in FL. Dorothy was a former member of St. George's Catholic Church in Baden, IL and member of Visitation Catholic Church in Eaton. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brothers Robert Schaffer and Rev Carl Schaffer. Survived by children James Hodapp (Jacquelyn) of Eaton; Janet Resing of New Baden, IL; Jacqueline Lee (Jace) of Eaton; and Joseph Hodapp (Jacqueline) of Eaton: 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild: brothers and sisters Roselyn Murphy of Erlanger, KY; George Schaffer of Florence, KY; John Schaffer and Jean Depenbrock both of Cincinnati, OH; JoAnn Glenn of Brooklet, GA; Martha Miller and Loretta Forsythe both of Hebron, KY; and Mary Kay Wilson of Lawrenceburg, IN. A Celebration of her Life and Memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 7, 2012 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria, OH. Friends may visit with the family from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM with services beginning at 2:00 PM.
