Dorothy M. Delph

Dorothy M. Delph, 91, formerly of Eaton, OH, of Port Charlotte, FL, passed away Friday evening May 12, 2017. Born May 8, 1926 in Scipio, IN, she was a daughter of the late James Marion and Ida Grace (Minor) Smith. Dorothy was a permanent resident of Florida since 2007. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death on February 7, 2013 by husband William E. "Eddie" Delph, whom she married February 13, 1943; 3 sisters and 2 brothers. She is survived by her children Wilma Sampson and husband Steve of Dayton, Sandra Peck and husband Jay of North Port, FL, Gail Morrison and husband Gene of Port Charlotte, and Melissa Atwood and husband Willie of Seymour, IN: grandchildren Michael McGriff, Ginger Collins, Cinnamon Duncil, Kim Riley, Ann Marie List and Amanda Atwood: 7 great grandchildren. Friends may call on the family from12:00 - 1:00 PM Friday, May 19, 2017 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria.
