Doris (Bocock) Grilliott
72, of West Alexandria, passed away and went to be with her loved ones after a 22 year battle with cancer on Friday, September 9, 2022.
She was born February 6, 1950 in Dayton, to the late Harvey D. and Helen L. (App) Bocock.
In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Daniel Grilliott; grandsons, Glenn Cundiff and Zachary Meade-Grilliott; siblings, Harvey Bocock Jr., Frank Bocock, Robert Bocock, Julie (Bruce) Chamberlain, and Vernon Bocock; and many other loved ones and relatives.
She is survived by her children, Angela Grilliott, Dawn Grilliott, and Daniel Grilliott II; grandsons, Tyler (Amber) Grilliott and Thomas Grilliott; brothers, Jerry (Rae) Bocock and Ken (Debbie) Bocock; and many more family and special friends.
Doris had been a member of the Miamisburg Moose #1645 and a long-time member of the National Association of Letter Carriers Women’s Auxiliary #138 and had served as the Ohio State Vice President and Financial Secretary. She enjoyed karaoke, dancing, and attending shows of singers of the 50’s and 60’s era music. Doris was a loving family member and friend to many.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 14 from 10AM to 12PM at PREBLE MEMORY GARDENS FUNERAL CENTER, 3377 US Route 35 East, West Alexandria. The funeral service will begin at 12PM with burial to follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Trotwood.
