Donnie B. Myers

age 83, of New Hope, OH passed away peacefully Friday, March 31, 2023, with his family by his side. He was born in Paris, KY on January 24, 1940 to Graham and Margaret (Humphries) Myers.

If you knew Donnie, then you know he didn't know a stranger, enjoyed jokes and being a jokester, and was a friend to all. He was a 1958 graduate from Jefferson High School, where he was an all-star varsity basketball player and even received a scholarship for his talents. He turned it down for the love of his life, Marie, who he was happily married to on July 15, 1960. He was a hardworking man, he worked for Estridge Market for 31 years and Landis Meats for 27 years as a butcher. He enjoyed gardening veggies, watching the Reds, playing cards with his family when he was younger, but most of all loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. He will truly be missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents; loving wife of 58 years, Rachel Marie Myers; a brother, David Myers; and a sister, Carolyn Fryman.

Donnie is survived by two children, Tammie Myers Spence and William Myers; grandchildren, Matthew (Brandi) Spence and Stephanie (Nelson) Skelton; great grandchildren, Hailie Spence, Tollie Beaty, Kayden Skelton, Lincoln Skelton, Braelynn Spence, Raygan Spence, Tylah Skelton, and Vincent Spence; siblings, Danny (Pam) Myers, Donna Nolen, Cathy Gibson, Dale (Charlotte) Myers, and Deborah Myers (Robinson); special brother-in-law, George White; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and loved ones.

A visitation for Donnie will be held at PREBLE MEMORY GARDENS FUNERAL CENTER on Thursday, April 6, 2023, from 11:00AM to 1:00PM, with his funeral service to start promptly at 1:00PM. Burial at Preble Memory Gardens to follow.
