Donna Baker

Donna J. Baker, 61, of New Lebanon, OH, passed away peacefully Monday evening, December 19, 2011 at her home, following a long and courageous battle with cancer. Donna was the daughter of Ermery L. & Verla (Barnes) Baker of New Lebanon. She was a 1968 graduate of Dixie High School and attended community college for a year. Donna retired in 2006 from Dayton Power and Light having worked in Administration and dispatch. After retirement, she continued to work part-time for DP & L in their call center. She continued to work up to May of this year when her illness made her unable to continue. Donna enjoyed painting, crafts and was a member of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents Emery & Verla, she is survived by uncle William Luther Baker of Dayton: aunts Ruby Rose Barnes and Christine Barnes, both of Somerset, KY: numerous cousins and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held 11:30 AM Friday, December 23, 2011 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria, OH.
