Donald Woolery

Donald E. Woolery, age 76, of New Lebanon, OH, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday evening, November 20, 2010. Born October 7, 1934, he was the son of the late Lawrence Woolery & Elizabeth (Jones) Woolery-Fitzwater. He proudly served with the US Army and retired after nearly 30 years from the Delco-Moraine Division of General Motors. Member of Bearcreek Church of the Brethren, Don loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and gardening. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by grandson Kevin Smith; step sister Rebecca Smith and a stillborn infant sister. Survived by wife Marian J. (Votaw) Woolery whom she married May 16, 1974: son Chris Woolery & wife Traci of Terre Haute, IN; step children Lori L. Anspaugh of New Lebanon, OH; Eric Anspaugh & wife Beverly of Roanke, VA; Kent Anspaugh & wife Linda of New Lebanon; Lance Anspaugh & wife Kitty of Farmersville, OH: grandchildren Kara and Mandy Woolery, Erin (Jeremy) Schmidt, Kirsten (Jeremy) Mills, Denny (Jenny) Smith, Heidi (Neil) Arnett, Heather Morrow, Justin (Jamie) Izor: 16 great grandchildren: former wife Iris Armstrong of West Alexandria, OH: step sister Barbara Fudge of Ft. Walton Beach, FL: special friends Dick & Bev Fletcher, Kevin & Leanne Penny, Dustin & Missy Slack, Bert Brandt, Mike and Kay Strauss: and numerous other relatives. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria. Friends may call on the family from 4:00 - 7:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Pastors Phil Reynolds and Eric Anspaugh presiding.
