Donald Puckett

September 27, 1954 — October 7, 2023

Camden, OH

Donald "Puck" Puckett, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on October 7, 2023, at the age of 69. He was born on September 27, 1954, in Dayton, OH to Carl and Dorothy (Peters) Puckett.

One of Puck's favorite daily rituals was his trips to McDonald's with his faithful companion, Thor. They would enjoy a cup of coffee and share a cheeseburger, creating lasting memories through simple, joyful moments. His love for his canine companion was evident to all who knew him, and his bond with Thor brought immeasurable happiness to his life.

Puck was proud of his Native American heritage and enjoyed attending pow-wows, where he would immerse himself in the rich culture and traditions. These gatherings allowed Don to connect with his roots and foster a sense of unity within his community.

Known for his generosity and selflessness, Donald was always willing to lend a helping hand and give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. His kindness touched the lives of those around him, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts.

Above all, he cherished his role as a doting grandfather. He embraced every opportunity to create lasting memories with his grandkids, using his playful spirit and love to leave an indelible mark on their lives. Whether it was sharing stories, playing games, or simply spending quality time together, his love and devotion to his grandchildren knew no bounds.

“Puck” was preceded in death by his parents and several siblings. He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years; Mary, his children; William (Jennie), Deanna (Joe), Benjamin (Jessica), Christopher (Kelsey), and Edward (Angel), along with numerous grandchildren, his brothers; Dale (Rhonda) and Ike (Sonni) and his sister: Barbara, a special friend; Carol Izor, and his precious fur baby; Thor.

Don will be deeply missed by his wife, Mary, who stood by his side throughout their journey, offering unwavering love and support. Their bond was a testament to the power of a strong partnership, and their enduring love remains an inspiration to all who knew them.
