Donald "Bud" Agee

Donald L. "Bud" Agee, age 77, of Eaton, OH, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday morning, May 8, 2012. Born in Preble County, he was a son of the late Virgil R. & Erma M. (Craig) Agee. He served in the US Army from 1954 - 1956 during the Korean War. He retired 1992 as a tool & dye maker from Parker Hannifin in Eaton after 34 years of service. He also helped his son, Allen for several years, in his construction business in North Carolina. Don was a longtime active and faithful member of the Eaton First Church of the Nazarene, where he served on the Church Board and had served the Lord on many different mission trips over the years. He was also a member of Libanus Masonic Lodge # 80 of Lewisburg and also the Knights Templar of Eaton. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brother Loren Agee and sister Mary Louise Bailey: brothers-in-law Allen Reed and Ken Overholts. Survived by wife Bessie M. (Pate) Agee whom he married September 18, 1956: children Donald Ray Agee & wife Janet of Greenville, OH; James Allen Agee & wife Terri of Winston-Salem, NC; and Jeffrey Scott Agee & companion Susan Schleiger of Eaton: grandchildren Katie Agee, Nicole Michelle Purcell, Elizabeth Ann Agee, Jacob Lee Agee, Bobby Cooley, Annabelle Keen, and Tiffany Agee: great grandchildren Nathan Purcell and Bailey Keen: sisters Norma Jean Reid of Clinton, Ontario, Canada; Geneva Overholts of Eaton; William Agee & wife Betty of New Lebanon, OH: sister-in-law Janis Agee of Eaton: and brother-in-law Richard Bailey of Columbus, OH. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, May 12, 2012 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria, OH. Pastor Brian Deaton presiding. Friends may call on the family from 5:00 - 8:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.
