Diana M. Covill-Davis, 73, of Kettering, OH passed away peacefully early Thursday morning, August 8, 2013, at Hospice of Dayton following a lengthy illness. Born in Traverse City, MI, she was the daughter of the late Harold & Beatrice (Leland) Curtin. Diana retired after 20+ years in computer support with Kettering Medical Center. She was an avid golfer and a tough competitor playing with the Fun Bunch and the Heatherwoode Women's League. She was also a member of the Miles That Matter walking group and participated in many half-marathons locally and in other states. She also served as a volunteer at Cox Arboretum. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband Kenneth Davis on June 11, 2007; brother James Curtin on August 27, 2003: and son-in-law Bruce Dawson on May 27, 2005. Survived by children Tim Covill & wife Mary of Dayton; Ron Covill & wife Farrah of Springfield, VA; Michele Richardson of Dayton: step daughters Terri Dawson of Lewisburg, OH and Mindy Davis & Ron Simpkins of West Milton: grandchildren Tom and Tyler Covill; Alex, Zachary and Sophia Covill; Nick and Andrea Richardson: 2 great grandchildren: brother Michael Curtin & wife Susan of Walled Lake, MI: and her Bud-Bud Sasha. The family wishes to extend their thanks to her many loyal friends, and the staff of Hospice of Dayton for their loving care and kindness to both Diana and her family. A Celebration of Diana's Life will be held at David Cemetery - 4600 Mad River Rd. - Kettering, on Friday, August 16 at 12:00 noon, service at 1:00 PM. Following the service, the family will host a gathering in the cemetery's Community Room. Arrangements entrusted to Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center, West Alexandria.
