Delmus Johnson, 90 of Eaton, OH, passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning April 29, 2015. Born December 3, 1924 in Roanoke, VA, he was a son of the late John Cole & Cammie (Hale) Johnson. He served briefly during WW II with the US Army. Delmus retired in 1985 after 30 years with the Inland Division of General Motors from The Vandalia plant. Following retirement, he became an avid hunter and fisherman. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death on December 28, 2013 by wife of 62 years Mary F. (Powell) Johnson: 5 brothers and 1 sister. Survived by children Claudia A. Day of Hamilton, OH; Linda Stachler & husband Barney of Rossburg, OH: William C. Johnson & wife Rhonda of New Paris: and Michael D. Johnson & wife Mary of Mesquite, NV: grandchildren Cristie Day, Chris Webb, Ryan Day, Cole Johnson, Kyle Johnson and Lindsey Johnson: 6 great grandchildren: brother Robert Johnson of Oklahoma. Friends may call on the family from 1:00 - 3:00 pm Saturday at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria.
