Deborah S. Meyers

Deborah S. Meyers, age 73, of West Alexandria, OH., went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Jan. 21, 2024. She was born to Paul Davis and Louise (Lewis) Goad on July 26, 1950, in Richmond, IN. It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of a truly remarkable woman.

Deborah was a shining example of selflessness and generosity, dedicating a significant portion of her life to charitable endeavors. Her passion for making a positive difference in the world was evident through her extensive charity work, where she touched the lives of countless individuals in need. She had been involved in the U.D. Women’s Center, ST. Joseph’s Orphanage, and numerous Military organizations, just to name a few.

A sports enthusiast through and through, Deborah found joy in cheering for her kids and grandkids as well as her favorite teams. She loved U.D. basketball, Bengals football, University of Tennessee and U.C. football games, she was a devoted fan. She also enjoyed bowling and was part of a couple leagues.

Family meant the world to Deborah, and her love for her children and grandchildren was immeasurable. Her role as a devoted mother and grandmother defined her, and the joy she found in their accomplishments and milestones was evident to all who knew her. She loved to travel, Deborah embarked on countless adventures with her beloved husband, creating cherished memories across the United States. Their shared love for travel strengthened the bond between them, and the experiences they shared will forever be etched in their hearts.

A pillar of faith, Deborah was a cherished member of Salem Lutheran Church, where she served as the treasurer of the women's group. Her commitment to her faith was unwavering, and her contributions to the church community were a testament to her enduring spirit.

Deborah Meyers leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and compassion. While we mourn the loss of a dear friend, mother, grandmother, and wife, let us also celebrate the incredible life she lived and the positive impact she had on the world. May her soul rest in eternal peace. She was always the Light in ANY storm.

Deborah is preceded in death by her parents, her step-father; Emerson Goad, 3 brothers and a sister. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years; Daniel Meyers, her children; Dustin (Kimberly) Meyers, Derick (Emily) Meyers, and Jessica Meyers, her sweet grandchildren; Caitlyn Meyers, Mike (Meghan) Meyers, Garrett Meyers, Brandon Meyers, Ethan Schul, Gabrielle Schul, and Clara Meyers, her two fur-babies, Geisha and Rollie, a brother and a sister, and her in-laws; Diana (Don) Shiflett, Dennis Meyers and Lisa Meyers, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Deborah will be held at Salem Lutheran Church in West Alexandria, on Friday, January 26, 2024, from 11:00AM to 1:00PM, with a funeral starting promptly at 1:00PM with Pastor Dan Mershon officiating.
