Dawn W. Lockee

Dawn W. Lockee, 90, of Eaton, OH, and formerly of Virginia, passed away on Friday morning, December 22, 2017 following an extended illness. Born April 15, 1927 in Greenville SC, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Wynona (Croaker) Campbell. She had worked as the manager of a dry cleaning store and later, retired as a school bus driver after many years. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death on July 29, 2012 by beloved husband Alfonso Lockee, whom she married December 29, 1945; son Roy E. Lockee in 1979; daughter Bertha A. Lancaster in 2001; and brothers Larry and Wallace Campbell. Survived by daughter Patricia L. Simons and husband V. Chris of Eaton; grandchildren Jeffrey Dale (Heidi) Simons, Dawn Renee Simons-Knight, Edwina Lancaster, David Lee Lancaster and Patricia Lancaster; great grandchildren Sydney Rene Knight, Kylie Nicole Simons and Kaylen James. A memorial service honoring her life will be held at 4:00 PM Saturday, January 13, 2018 at the Centerville Seventh Day Adventist Church - 456 W. Spring Valley Pike - Dayton, OH.
