Darrell E. Baker

Darrell E. Baker, age 67 of Eaton, OH passed away suddenly, the morning of October 23, 2015. Born July 27, 1948 he was a son to the late Russell and Freda (Caudill) Baker. Darrell was a proud Army Vietnam veteran, and was awarded a Purple Heart for his service. He was a volunteer fireman in West Manchester, OH and enjoyed fishing in Celina and Ft. Laramie. His favorite thing, was spending time with his grandkids and family. He will be truly missed. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers Billy Joe Baker and Steven Earl Baker: and brother-in-law Stephen Michael. Darrell is survived by his wife Diane (Michael) Baker, whom he married December 22, 1970: children Jennifer Shaffer of Eaton, OH and Darrell A. (Teresa) Baker of Alabama: siblings Kenny (Diana) Baker of New Paris, OH; Cora Lea (David) Plummer of Lewisburg,OH; and Lynn Udovich of Eaton: grandchildren Estin Shaffer; Austin Shaffer and Jeremy Cummings : mother-in-law Janis Michael of Eaton: brother- in- laws Jack Michael ( Kay) of New Paris; Bruce (Lydia) Michael of Eaton and Pete (Donna) Michael of Eaton: sister- in- laws Brenda Michael of West Manchester; Tonya Martin of Eaton and Karen Busteed of Eaton: special friends Keith (Sonja) Price of Lewisburg and Bob Stidham of Lewisburg: as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Friends may call on the family from 6-8 PM Monday October 26, 2015 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center - 3377 US Rt 35, West Alexandria - Funeral Services to be held at 1 PM Tuesday October 27, 2015. Burial Preble Memory Gardens.
