Daniel Kendel

Daniel W. Kendel, 67, of Eaton, OH passed away on Monday, March 25, 2013 at Hospice of Dayton. Dan was born May 25, 1945 in Gratis, OH to the late Daniel & Effie May (Hanks) Kendel. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death on September 15, 2006 by beloved wife Kathy (Ballengee) Kendel: great-grandchildren Berkley & Loki: siblings, Pat Kendel, Ronnie Kendel & Delbert Kendel. Dan is a retiree from McCaulley's & Southview Hospital. He enjoyed fishing, going to garage sales, and collecting model cars & hot wheels. His family was everything to Dan and his support system. His family and his pup Mimmzy were the loves of his life. Survived by children, Tina Lowhorn of Indiana; Chuck & Tere Kendel of West Alexandria; Patty & Dale Lynch of Eaton; and David & Shondra Kendel of Eaton: grandchildren, Kristen (Jonathan) Lewis, Kayce, Derrick, Brad Zachary (Megan) Lowhorn, Daniel Lynch, Sarah Humphrey, Chyann Kendel, Mackenzy and Caden Kendel; great-granddaughter Elizabeth Lowhorn: sister Anna May Anderson of Hamilton. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Friday, March 29, 2013 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens -3377 US RT 35 - West Alexandria, OH. Pastor Tom Weimer presiding. Friends may call on the family from 5:00 - 8:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Burial Fairview Cemetery, West Alexandria. Following the service, a reception will be held at Eaton Fire Station 2 - 391 W. Lexington Rd, Eaton. Donations can be made to Hospice of Dayton.
