Cynthia Phillips-Gabbard

Cynthia Gail Phillips-Gabbard, age 61, of Eaton, OH passed away Friday, February 11, 2011 following an extended illness. Born August 21, 1949 in St. Charles, VA, she was a daughter to the late James P. & Joqunia A. (Kegley) Phillips. She was a 28 year employee of Baxter in Eaton; member of Higher Heights Church of God in Camden; and member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Eaton Eagles # 2202. Gail loved to play bingo and was well known at both Eaton and Richmond games. She enjoyed crochet, TV game shows, playing cards and Yahtzee. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by sister Patricia Darlene Cooley and niece Courtney Grubb. Survived by sisters and Brother Helen Jeanette (Gary) Howard of Camden, OH; James Gary (Sharon) Phillips of Eaton; Tina Lou Fields of Eaton; Lisa Lynn (Michael) Calabrese of New Castle, PA; and Marilyn Ann (Darold) Grubb of Eaton: step children Dee Abner of Fairfield, OH and her son Michael Abner of Eaton; Roy Gabbard, III of Richmond; Debbie Gabbard of Modoc, IN; Roger and Randy Gabbard both of Richmond: 6 other grandchildren: nieces and nephews Mike, Vicky, Jeremey, Jake, Marcy, James, Joey, Adam, Joshua, Eric, and Wesley: numerous great nieces and nephew: Gail's boyfriend of many years Larry Flack of Indianapolis, IN. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, February 17, 2011 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 E. West Alexandria, OH. Pastor Marvin Hocker will preside. Friends may call on the family from 5:00 - 8:00 PM Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at the funeral home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Higher Heights Church of God or Hospice of Dayton in Gail's memory. Interment Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery.
