Craig E. Mayes

Craig E. Mayes, age 85 of New Lebanon, OH., passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Monday, June 5, 2023. He was born in Fork Ridge, TN., on March 16, 1938 to Rufus and Inez (Bayless) Mayes.

Craig was a hard working man, who worked for Dayton Press for 35 years and after retiring from there, went on to work at Amos Press for 15 years. Things he enjoyed were going camping, hunting, fishing and boating. When he was not out  enjoying those activities, you could find him tending to his garden and spending time with his family and friends whom he loved dearly. He will truly be missed by those who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife of 52 years; Dorothy, and his sister; Jeanette Marlow. He is survived by his sons; Rocky (Stephanie) Mayes and Scott (Shannon) Mayes, his grandchildren; Michael, Jessica, Jacob, and Joseph, along with two great grandchildren; Jaxson and Ava.
