Charles L. Adams, age 85, of Camden, OH, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 27, 2013. Born in Red House, KY, he was one of 15 children to the late William H. & Katherine (Walton) Adams. Mr. Adams served with the US Army during the Korean War and retired in 1980 from The Boy Scouts of America, Dan Beard Council, after 20 years. He operated Camp Freidlander, a boy scout camp in Loveland, OH; was a member of Somerville Pentecostal Church and a licensed Ham Radio Operator. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death on December 24, 1994 by wife Janet F. (Williams) Adams: son Charles W. Adams in 2008: brothers and sisters Minnie Adams, Robert Adams, John Adams, Hazel Hall, Lottie Marshall, Mary Ann Plaugher, Margaret Powell, William Adams, Virginia Wehr, Emma Johnson and Raymond Adams: and son-in-law Kenneth Moreland. Survived by children Rhonda Moreland of Camden; Sandra (Carl) Runions of Monroe, OH; Richard (Carol) Adams of Camden; and William (Leighanne) Adams of Camden: 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren: sisters and brothers Lorene Depew of Camden; Harold Adams of Morning Sun, OH; Louise Knobloch of Texas. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at the Somerville Pentecostal Church - N. Mound St. - Somerville. Pastor Riley Parker presiding. Friends may call on the family from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm Wednesday at the Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Church in Charles' memory. Burial Beechwood Cemetery.
