Catharine Pauline Barrett (Straszheim)

Age 84 of Lexington, Ky. formerly of New Paris, Ohio peacefully passed away on Monday April 8, 2024, at Magnolia Village in Bowling Green KY.   She was born on June 15,1939 to the late John William and Martha (Koppe) Straszheim.

Catharine was preceded in death by her loving husband of 31 years, Mike Barrett; brother, Edward Straszheim; Sister, Pat Sizemore.  She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Ralph (Farrah) Haynes, Elizabeth Hollon, and Duane Hollon; Sister; Dorothy Swope; brother, Rodger Straszheim; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many more family and friends.

Catharine worked for Mitchell Corporation for an impressive 31 years, where she was a dedicated employee.  In her free time, she enjoyed tending to her flower beds, finding new adventures in traveling, and had a deep admiration for icons such as Elvis Presley, Alan Jackson, Loretta Lynn, and Monroe.

A graveside committal service of Catharine’s cremains will be held on Friday April 19, 2024 at 12:00PM at PREBLE MEMORY GARDENS CEMETERY, 3377 US RT 35 E. West Alexandria, OH.
