Carole M. Moore

Carole M. Moore, 84, formerly of Preble County, of West Chester Twp., passed away Saturday morning, August 15, 2020 at Legacy at Liberty Ridge Care Center in West Chester, Twp. Born January 7, 1936 in Gary, IN, she was the daughter of the late Dr. John Stephen Duncan, M.D. and Eva Cleo (Shannon) Duncan. She was a 1953 graduate of Horace Mann High School in Gary, IN, and was a 1957 graduate of Purdue University earning her Bachelors Degree as a Pharmacist. She was one of only two female graduates of Purdue's 1957 Pharmacy Program. She began her career with Hooks Drug Stores in Indianapolis and then Connersville, IN. She went on to work for Village Fountain Pharmacy in Liberty, IN; Thielking Drug Store in Connersville; and retired in the early 2000's with Reid Hospital in Richmond. She was a longtime member of the Liberty, IN Church of Christ. Carole married her sweetheart Donald S. Moore on June 12, 1960, and Don preceded her in death on February 5, 2019. She is also preceded in death by brother Dr. David Duncan, M.D. She is survived by children Stephen Moore and wife Dyan of Holland, MI, and Barbara Caudill and husband Brian of Hamilton, OH; grandchildren Victoria Moore, Simon Moore, Hannah Caudill, Tyler Caudill and Amanda Caudill; brother John Duncan and wife Cleo of Greensburg, IN, sister Deanna Brown of Noblesville, IN; sister-in-law Carmella Duncan of Prescott, AZ.
