Carole L. Garrett

Carole L. Garrett, age 81, of New Lebanon, OH, passed away peacefully on Saturday afternoon, September 7, 2013. Born in Cromona, KY, she was a daughter of the late William M. & Willie Mae (Long) Childers. Carole was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother; was a member of the Union Pentecostal Church; and enjoyed fishing. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband Berbett Garrett on September 30, 1966: son William M. Garrett on September 19, 1958: grandchildren Jolene Hunley and Michael Williams: great grandson Damion Blake: sister and brothers Lorene Webb & husband Basil; Bill Childers & wife Mary; and Fred Childers: son-in-law Paul Hunley: sister-in-law Sharon Childers. Survived by children Patricia Williams & husband Marvin of New Lebanon; Mary Jane Hunley of New Lebanon; Theresa Williams & husband Elmer of Trotwood, OH; and Doris Blake & husband Jack of Harrodsburg, KY: 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren: sisters Jessica Black of Santa Barbara, CA and Doris Burns of Alexandria, VA: brothers Kenneth Childers of Cumberland, KY; David Childers & wife Sue of Benham, KY; and James Stapleton of New York: sister-in-law Lelia Childers of Cumberland, KY.
