Carl Eugene Williams

Carl Eugene Williams, 74, of West Alexandria, OH, passed away Thursday morning December 25, 2014 at Heartland of Eaton Care Center. Born December 20, 1940, he was a son of the late Edward C. & Sophia (Ostrowski) Williams. Carl was a retired auto mechanic, having worked at Reichard Buick, Walker Brothers and the New Lebanon Body Shop. He brought his love of cars home to his own garage, buying, repairing and reselling cars. A skilled tradesman, he also built 3 homes. He enjoyed playing cards, taking gambling trips, and loved his pets. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brother Charles Williams and former wife Judy Todd. A loving father, Carl will be greatly missed by both family and friends. He leaves behind children Carla Wall (Ronnie) of Somerville, OH; Carol Williams of Washington; Anthony Williams (Deb) of West Alexandria; and Cathleen Sams of Eaton, OH: grandchildren Judy Williams (Josh) and Joshua T. Williams: great grandson Matthew Wysong: siblings Sharon Clemons (Mike) of Camden, OH; Harry Williams (Geneva) of New Lebanon, OH; Marion Williams of West Alexandria; and Susan Williams of West Alexandria: as well as numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. A memorial service will be held 1:00 pm Saturday, January 3, 2015 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria. Brother-in-law Mike Clemons will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to your local Humane Society.
