Byron W. "Bill" Laughlin, age 83, of New Lebanon, OH, formerly of Farmersville, OH, passed away Tuesday morning, February 5, 2013. Born in Dayton, OH, he was the son of the late Byron & Edith (Hutchinson) Laughlin. Bill retired after 30 years from the Frigidaire/Delco Division of General Motors in Dayton. He was a longtime member of St. Andrews Lutheran Church in Farmersville; was an avid gardener, and enjoyed woodworking and model trains. Survived by wife Mary V. (Wise) Laughlin whom he married July 31, 1954: children Byron J. Laughlin & wife Sylvia of Miamisburg, OH; Elaine A. Cope & husband Cecil of Trotwood, OH; and Timothy A. Laughlin & wife Michelle of West Alexandria, OH: grandchildren Sarah Black, Joshua Cope, and James and Dustin Laughlin: great grandchildren Ryan and Grace Black: sister Edith Lillian Smallwood of Englewood, OH. Friends may call on the family from 12:00 - 2:00 PM Thursday, February 7, 2013 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM with Pastor Larry Lindstrom presiding. Burial Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery.
