Bobby Smith

age 86 of Eaton went to celebrate with his family in Heaven on Tuesday January 26, 2023.

He was born March 5, 1936, in Eaton, to the late James H. and Martha (Shinn) Smith.

In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his first wife Irene (Gambill) Smith; son, Terry J. Smith; brother, James “Jimmy” Smith; and stepsister, Josephine Mays.

Bobby is survived by his loving wife if 41 years Peggy; children with Irene, Donna Katherine George, James Robert Smith, Daniel Lee Smith, Randall Allen Smith, Dale Matthew Smith, Steven Eugene Smith; siblings of Irene that joined the family were Edna Presley, Cora Lciwig, Eva Sue Howard, Pearlie Smith, Shirley Duncan, Johnny Gambill, Roy Gambill and Lonnie Gambill; children of Peggy’s that he helped raise, Vicki Lynn and Gregory Glenn; grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Marty Willis and Dotty Czerwonka; and brother, Dave Smith and his wife, Maggie.

Early in life, Bobby was a Well Driller, one of only two in the county.  He also worked for Delco Products in Dayton where he became a foreman and retired in the late 90’s.

Bobby was a wonderful person and liked everyone he met.   He loved and thoroughly enjoyed his many vacations, especially in Las Vegas.  He was a one of a kind and will be missed very much by everyone who loved him.

Special people in his life were Vicki and Jeff Moore, Jay Gambill (deceased) and Larry and Patricia Elam.

A visitation will be held Monday, January 30 from 12:30PM to 2:30PM at PREBLE MEMORY GARDENS FUNERAL CENTER, 3377 US Route 35 East, West Alexandria 45381.  A graveside service will take place immediately following at Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery, West Alexandria.
