Betty Vaden

Betty J. Vaden, age 72, of New Paris, OH, passed away Thursday, July 8, 2010 at Greenbriar Nursing Center in Eaton. Born January 4, 1938 in Carthage, TN, she was a daughter of the late Beecher & Linnie Mae (Gibbs) Slatton. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by daughter Vickie Vaden and son Jim Vaden: and 6 brothers and sisters. Survived by children Jack Vaden of Fairborn, OH; Danna Otte & husband Larry of Lanexa, VA; Reba Crowell & husband Lawrence of West Manchester, OH; John Vaden & wife Tarri of West Milton, OH; Michael Vaden of Dayton, OH; Joyce Hopkins & husband Tim of Jonesville, VA; Becky Vaden of New Paris; and Jeff Vaden of Miamisburg, OH: 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren: brother John W. "JW" Slatton of Carthage, TN: sister-in-law Shirley Fuston & husband Ben of Watertown, TN: special friend Millie Bailey and many other New Paris apartment friends. A memorial service will be held 5:00 PM Saturday, July 17, 2010 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria, OH. Pastor Lloyd Mofield presiding.
