Betty Jo Baker, 73, of New Lebanon, OH, went home to be with the Lord on Friday morning, October 17, 2014. Born November 22, 1940 in Alva, KY, she was a daughter of the late Edward S. & Mildred I. (Owens) Barton. She retired after 10+ years for the Delphi Division of General Motors at the Needmore Rd. Plant. A longtime member of the Farmersville First Baptist Church, she enjoyed watching sports of all kinds with her favorite being the Kentucky Wildcats. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brothers and sister Tom Barton, Gilda Dilbeck and Steve Barton. Survived by children Danette Papie & husband John of Brookville, OH; Mike Baker & wife Cindy of South Carolina; Kim Martin & husband Mike of Farmersville, OH: grandchildren Luke, Ryan, Shelby and Jordan: great grandson Foster: sister Ina Sue Hurst: and her special bird friend Barney. Friends may call on the family from 2:00 - 3:00 pm Sunday at the First Baptist Church of Farmersville - 334 N. Elm St. - Farmersville. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 pm with Pastors Tom and Dustin Vorhis presiding. Burial Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery, West Alexandria. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Church. Arrangements entrusted to the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center, West Alexandria.
