Barbara Ellen York

Barbara Ellen York, 84 of Brookville, OH, born to the late Earl and Flossie Mann on September 27, 1929 in Athens, Ohio passed away peacefully while listening to her favorite hymn Buelah Land, on August 18,2014. Barbara is preceded in death by her siblings Earl Mann, Jim Mann, Paul Mann, Margaret Metcalf and Elizabeth Lamb, as well as, her grandson Samuel Christopher York. She is survived by her five children Steven (Judi) York; Samuel (Gina) York; Rick (Laura) York; Sheila Hobbs and Dena (Rick) Shepard: nine grandchildren Michael (Stacy) York; Shawn York; Scott Thomas; Rob Thomas; Anthony (Sally) York; Kelly (Steve) York; Audra (Nick) Lamb; Alexander York and Eric (Katherine) Shepard. Barbara was a great grandmother to eight. She was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of New Lebanon and Golden Circle Class. She was always generous with her time and possessions. Barbara enjoyed celebrating holidays and special occasions with her family and friends. She will be missed. Family and friends may call on the family on Thursday August 21, 2014 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at Robert L Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt 35, West Alexandria.
