Barbara found peace and happiness amidst the splendor of the outdoors, where she tended to her beloved vegetable and flower gardens with unwavering dedication. Amongst the blooms of her roses and the ripening fruit of her tomatoes, she found tranquility.
Her hands were not only skilled in nurturing life but also in shaping it. Barbara possessed a remarkable mechanical aptitude, capable of fashioning wonders from wood. Whether it was creating intricate doors, sturdy cabinets, or even the flooring of her husband's fishing boat, her craftsmanship knew no bounds.
Yet, amidst her many talents, Barbara held her roles as mother and grandmother closest to her heart. She poured boundless love and devotion into her family, finding fulfillment in their joys and triumphs. Her presence was a beacon of warmth and comfort, and her absence leaves a void that cannot be filled.
A visitation will be held Friday, April 19 from 12-1PM at PREBLE MEMORY GARDENS FUNERAL CENTER, West Alexandria. The funeral service will begin at 1PM with Pastor Jerry Carter officiating. Barbara will be laid to rest at Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery beside her husband, Charlie.
