Barbara Townsend

Barbara June Townsend, of New Lebanon, passed away on her 74th birthday, April 3, 2013. Barb was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Harry; parents Claude & Audrey Hammond; brother Harold Hammond; and granddaughters Cherish Gray, Crystal Gray and Heather Townsend. She is survived by her 4 children Cheryl & husband Alvin Osborne of New Lebanon, Theresa & husband Ted Gray of California, Donna Townsend of Miamisburg, and David & wife Tina Townsend of West Milton; grandchildren Tara (Chip), Todd (Sarah), Kristin (Steve), Katie, Danielle, Brianna, David (Crystal), Zack, Abbi, Sydney and Jade; great grandchildren Forest (Regan), Celeste, Aidan, Hailey, Lilly, Valerie, Seth and Mason; brothers Phillip (Mary), Terry (Carol) and Michael "Bo" (Mary); and numerous friends and family. The family would like to thank the staff at New Lebanon Care and Rehabilitation Center and Crossroads Hospice for their excellent care and concern over the past several months. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, April 6, 2013 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria. Pastor Jimmy Gabbard presiding.
