Barbara E. Mcdonald

Barbara E. McDonald, 72, of West Alexandria, OH passed away Tuesday, October 7 , 2014 at Hospice of Dayton. Born December 30, 1941 in Washington Courthouse, OH, she was a daughter of the late Grover Woodrow and Oneida (Hudgel) Murtland. Barbara grew up in Xenia Ohio, later in life she lived in Kentucky for 11 years, eventually returning back to Ohio. She worked for 10+ years at the Shell Station in West Alexandria where she got to know her customers well, and her customers knew her. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband Philip L. McDonald in 1984, and brother Gary Murtland. Survived by her sons Daniel McDonald and David (Missy Saylor) McDonald both of CA : daughter Shari (William) Simpson of West Alexandria: grandchildren Katrina Eddy of West Alexandria ; Gwenna, Holly and Jacob McDonald of Xenia : brother Ronnie (Georgie) Murtland: sisters Carolyn( Lloyd) Hall of Teaberry, KY; Vanessa (Bill) Curtis of Jamestown, OH and sister- in- law Gayle Murtland of Virginia Beach, VA : as well as numerous great- grandchildren, neices, nephews and cousins. She will be deeply missed. It was Barbara's wish to be cremated. There are no services scheduled. Arrangements entrusted to the Robert L.
