Barbara Bradley

Barbara A. Bradley, age 73, of Eaton, OH, passed away suddenly on Saturday, November 6, 2010. Born August 22, 1937 in Fremont, OH to the late William H. & Lucille (Berger) Bruns. She was a 1955 graduate of West Alexandria High School and attended the University of Dayton from 1955 - 1956. She worked as Director for the Preble County Chapter of the American Red Cross from 1973 - 1976; then as Director for the Preble County United Way from 1976 - 2000. Member of Visitation Catholic Church in Eaton where she volunteered in various capacities, and continued to volunteer for the United Way. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brother Donald Bruns. Survived by husband Almon E. "Bud" Bradley whom she married September 1, 1956: daughters Laureen Tornese & husband Frank of Gainesville, FL; Lynn Miller & husband Douglas of Dayton; and Kelly Wooton of Eaton: grandchildren Abby and Willie Bradley, Barbara Wike, Curtis Wooton, Anthony and Kasi Tornese: great grandson Aaron Michael Wike: sisters and brother Vivian Rogers & husband Ron of NC; Richard Bruns & wife Linda of Eaton; Karen Bruns of Eaton: sister-in-law Susan Bruns of FL; and a wealth of other family that loved her dearly. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria, OH. Pastor Wayne Morrison and Father Thomas Fitzsimmons presiding. Friends may call on the family from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
