Ann Erbaugh

Ann E. Erbaugh, 85, formerly of Eaton, OH, of Houston, TX., passed away Saturday December 10, 2011 following an extended illness. Ann grew up in Pozan, Poland, lived through WWII in Nazi Germany, married an American GI, Charles Erbaugh, and moved to the United States. She became a naturalized citizen of the U.S. in 1952. Beyond being a loving wife, mother, friend and grandmother, she was also a chemist, international telephone operator speaking several languages, drove race cars, and managed a restaurant before retiring to spend more time with her children and grandchildren. Ann loved to cook and bake for her friends and family. She enjoyed entertaining at home, gardening, knitting, playing board games, video games or a game of cards with the family, and just getting away to play Bingo. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Erbaugh on August 22, 1990. Survived by daughters, Doris Rose of Union City, IN; Cordelia Wisenbaker and husband John of Houston, TX. Sons John Erbaugh and partner Denise Patrick of Akron, OH; and David Erbaugh of Englewood, OH. She is also survived by grandchildren Marie Johnson, Brian Cole, Melissa Wabschall, Megan Erbaugh, Aimee Erbaugh, Cassandra Wisenbaker and John Parker Wisenbaker; 11 great grandchildren; and many other relatives both here in the U.S. and Europe. Friends may call on the family from 12:00 - 2:00 PM Thursday, December 15, 2011 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria, OH. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM. The family would like to thank the staff at the Westbury Place Retirement Center in Houston, TX where Ann resided for the last 8 years. She enjoyed her home there and how she was always treated like a queen. Interment Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery.
