Amanda Smith

Amanda L. Smith, age 31, of Eaton, OH, went home to be with the Lord suddenly on Sunday morning, January 8, 2012. A daughter of Keith C. & Amy C. (Ward) Jones, Amanda was a 1998 graduate of Eaton High School and attended Miami Jacobs College for 2 years. A member of the First Presbyterian Church in Eaton, she worked for the Ohio BMV for 10 years and with the Eaton office for 7 years. Preceded in death by Maternal grandparents Marvin & Nellie Ward: paternal grandmother Evelyn Jones: mother-in-law & father-in-law Heilig & Cheryl Smith: brother-in-law Robert Smith. Survived by husband Jerry Smith, whom she married December 16, 2000: children Gideon, Aubrey, Annabelle and Griffin all at home: parents Keith & Amy Jones of Eaton: brother Ben Jones & fiancé Hope Marker of West Alexandria, OH: sister Sarah Eifort & husband John of Dayton, OH: paternal grandfather Raymond Jones & wife Sunnye: aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, January 12, 2012 at the First Presbyterian Church - 123 W. Decatur St. - Eaton. Pastor Wayne Morrison presiding. Friends may call on the family from 5:00 - 8:00 PM Wednesday at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria; and at the Church from 10:00 - 11:00 AM Thursday.
