Alice C. Ruebush

Alice C. Ruebush, age 95, of Brookville, OH., passed peacefully on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, with her family by her side. She was born on April 22, 1927 in Dayton, OH., to Herman Bremer and Christina (Lundberg) Maier.

What is there to say about Alice? She was very active, rarely at home, often going places and was ALWAYS into something. She had fun mowing her grass, especially since her kids took away her car keys. She loved farming with her husband, Kenneth, and when the season was over they would take their fishing trips up to Michigan. You could often find her gardening in her garden, and canning what she had grown. She liked to watch her church services on Sunday and was Baptized when she was a young lady at First Brethren Church in Trotwood. Alice would often be playing cards with her family and friends every weekend, she still went out and played BINGO, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and spoiling them before sending them back home. She was one of a kind and will truly be missed by all those who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her stepdad; Walter, beloved husband; Kenneth, Children; Bill, Tommy, Bonnie, and her grandson; Aurel Collins Jr. She is survived by her loving daughter; Connie (Aurel) Collins, a daughter-in-law; Margaret Ruebush, grandchildren; Mike (Deedra) Collins, Kristina (Scott) Egbert, Amber (Jim) Kimball and Tami Jo Ruebush, a special great grandson; Chod Collins, along with 13 other wonderful great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and a lifetime best friend; Ethel Anderson

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, from 12:00PM to 1:00PM at Preble Memory Gardens Funeral Center with a funeral service to promptly follow at 1:00PM with Pastor Dan Mershon officiating.
