Albert H. Dennis

Albert H. Dennis, 90 of Dayton, OH, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday afternoon, July 5, 2014. Born March 11, 1924 in Melburne, OK,he was a son of the late Corbet & Minnie Mae (Chaney) Dennis. Albert was a US Army veteran of WW II, and was a member of the D.A.V. He grew up on a farm and had worked as a farmer in OK and CA. He also worked construction in the Dayton area for many years and retired from McCauley Aircraft in Vandalia. A cowboy at heart, later in life he became a horseman and was well known for buying, breeding and selling horses. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by wife Millie Ann (Vires) Dennis on August 18, 2007: daughter Nola M. Dennis: as well as 3 sisters. Survived by children Sue Stewart & husband Denver of Dayton, OH; William "Sonny" Dennis of Fairborn, OH: Albert "Henry" Dennis & wife Becky of Cooks, MI; Billy Dennis of Middletown, OH: Danny Dennis & wife Angela of Dayton, OH: 17 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren and 1 great great great grandchild: brother Bill Dennis & wife Pam of West Milton, OH: numerous nieces and nephews: special friends John & Linda Pierce of Huber Heights, OH and Howard & Evanda Anderson of Trotwood, OH. The family wishes to extend their thanks to the caring professionals of Hospice of Dayton. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, July 10, 2014 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria, OH. Pastor Jerry Carter presiding. Friends may call on the family from 5:00 - 8:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
